Our company recognizes the rights of workers to work in a safe and healthy workplace and we are committed to eliminating accidents, injuries, illness, and incidents.

 

Supervisors/Foremen will be held accountable for worker health and safety by ensuring:

  • Equipment is maintained and used by trained workers only

  • Safe Work Practice and Safe Job Procedures are being enforced

  • Training is provided to workers so that they can perform their work safely

  • Workers are using the required PPE effectively, as needed.

 

Workers have the right to refuse unsafe work that may endanger themselves or another person. They have the responsibility to:

  • Report any workplace hazards, working conditions, procedures or anything that could endanger themselves or another person

  • Wear all PPE required by the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Applewood’s safety policies and procedures

  • Know and understand the hazards in the workplace

  • Work safely according to the OHSA and Applewood’s safety policies and procedure

 

The OHSMS Policy shall be reviewed at least annually. Any changes or revisions to the Policy shall be communicated to all parties by effective means.
